Elizabeth has loved books for as long as she can remember. An avid reader and writer, she spent much of her childhood and teenage years with her nose in a book, reading and rereading her favorites, and she began filling journals with dreams, goals, prayers and stories of her own around that same time.

At eighteen, Elizabeth dreamt of becoming a children’s author. More than twenty years later, that dream became a reality with the publication of Freddie and the Bear and the adventures of Otis the squirrel.

Elizabeth lives in Ohio with her husband, two children, three cats, and a flock of chickens. When she isn’t writing, she can be found homeschooling her kids, reading, exploring local history, or dreaming up new adventures for Freddie, the bear, Otis, and their friends.

She hopes her stories inspire children to love history, see the value in others, and discover the joy of imagination, friendship, and kindness.
